Flatbed towing

Some vehicles shouldn't roll on their own wheels behind a truck. On a flatbed, all four wheels ride off the road, strapped at the tires.

We come to where your vehicle is — the street, a driveway, a parking lot or the highway shoulder — and take it where you choose.

EXIT · HOW IT WORKS

How it works for this job

  1. 1

    Share the drivetrain

Tell us if the vehicle is AWD, 4x4, EV or lowered so we plan for a flatbed.

  2. 2

    The bed tilts down

The deck lowers into a ramp and the vehicle is pulled up slowly with the winch.

  3. 3

    Strapped at the tires

Straps go over the wheels, not the body, so the suspension rides naturally.

  4. 4

    Unloaded where you choose

The bed tilts again and the vehicle rolls off at your drop-off address.

What to tell us when you call

  • Drivetrain (AWD, 4x4, EV, hybrid)
  • Ground clearance if it's lowered
  • Whether the wheels turn freely
  • Pickup and drop-off addresses

With an EV, don't try to put it in neutral and push it — check your owner's manual for the tow mode and tell us what it says.

EXIT · FAQ

Flatbed towing: common questions

On many AWD cars all four wheels are linked through the drivetrain. Towing with two wheels on the ground can strain it, so keeping all four off the road is the safer choice.

Most EV makers say no, because the motors can generate power when the wheels spin. A flatbed avoids the issue; your owner's manual will say what your model needs.

Tire straps wrap around the rubber, not the face of the rim. Let the driver know about any custom wheels or existing scuffs before loading so you can look together.

Tell us the car and how low it sits. Very low cars may need extra boards or a slower approach; we'll talk it through before we send the truck.
