Flat tire change

We put on your own spare — full-size or donut — check its pressure and tighten the lug nuts. When a spare won't do it, we tow.

We come to where your vehicle is — the street, a driveway, a parking lot or the highway shoulder — and take it where you choose.

EXIT · HOW IT WORKS

How it works for this job

  1. 1

    Find a safe spot

Get off the road if you can. Hazards on. Don't change a tire next to traffic.

  2. 2

    We swap on your spare

The driver lifts the car, removes the flat and puts on your spare.

  3. 3

    Pressure and lug check

We check the spare's air and tighten the lug nuts.

  4. 4

    No spare? We tow

No spare, a bent rim or two flats means a tow to a tire shop.

What to tell us when you call

  • Which tire is flat
  • Whether you have a spare (and where it is)
  • If you have a locking lug nut key
  • How close you are to traffic

On a highway shoulder, stay in the car with your belt on until help arrives, unless it's unsafe to stay inside.

EXIT · FAQ

Flat tire change: common questions

Many newer cars come with only a repair kit. If you have no usable spare, we can tow the car to a tire shop or your home.

Donut spares are meant for short trips at reduced speed — check the sidewall or your owner's manual for the limits. Get the flat repaired or replaced soon.

Check the glove box, the trunk floor and the spare tire well. If it's missing, tell us when you call — it changes what's possible, and a tow may be the better option.

It depends on how much room there is from traffic. If the shoulder is too tight, the safer move is to tow the car to a nearby lot and change it there.
