Towing questions, answered
Straight answers before you call — and if your question isn't here, just ask.
We come to where your vehicle is — the street, a driveway, a parking lot or the highway shoulder — and take it where you choose.
Calling for a tow
We're based in Lyndhurst and serve towns across Bergen, Hudson, Essex and Passaic counties, including Rutherford, Kearny, Secaucus, Newark, Jersey City and Clifton. If you don't see your town listed, call and ask.
It depends on the vehicle, the distance, where it's stuck and the time of the call. Call with your location and where the car should go, and ask for the price before we dispatch a truck.
Yes. You choose where the car goes — your mechanic, a body shop, the dealer or your home. Have the address ready when you call.
Check that everyone is OK and call 911 if anyone is hurt. Turn on your hazards, move to the shoulder only if it's safe, and take photos of the scene, the cars and the plates. Then call us to move the car.
Tell us the vehicle when you call. All-wheel-drive, lowered and electric cars are usually best moved with all wheels off the road, and we'll confirm the right setup for yours.
It's best if you or someone you trust is there when we pick it up, so we can confirm the car and get the keys. If that's not possible, tell us when you call and we'll talk through options.
Your exact location (address, cross streets or highway exit), what happened, the vehicle's year, make and model, and where you want it to go.
Yes, we can open the door so you can get your keys. If a child or pet is locked inside, call 911 first.
We'll confirm payment options when you call.
That depends on your policy, so check with your insurer or roadside plan. We give you a receipt you can submit for reimbursement.
Good to know
A flat tire usually isn't a problem for a tow. Without keys, the car may be locked in park, which changes how it's loaded — tell us when you call so we plan for it.
Take valuables, documents and anything you'll need with you before the tow. Everything left in the car stays in the car and goes with it to the drop-off.
Usually, yes. Tires may be flat and brakes may be stuck after a long time, so tell us how long it's been parked and where.
Call and ask with the vehicle's make, model and size. We'll tell you whether it's something we can move.
Tell the property owner or security that you've called a tow, and tell us the lot name. Some lots need permission for a truck to enter.
Call us with the date, pickup and drop-off and we'll talk it through.
